Crime Branch books Revenue officials, land grabber

JAMMU, Feb 11:  Crime Branch Jammu has booked some Revenue officials and one other person for land grabbing by manipulating the Revenue records.
On the direction of CJM Jammu, a case under  Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B RPC, r/w Section 5(2) PC Act Svt 2006 has been registered against Ashok Kumar of  New Delhi and officials of Revenue Department.
The case was registered on a complain filed by Tulsi Ram son of late Devi Chand of Badyal Brahmana, R S Pura who alleged that the land allotted to his father in R S Pura after their migration from PoK in 1947,  was grabbed by his nephew Ashok Kumar in connivance with Revenue officials.
During the course of investigation, the Crime Branch established that Ashok Kumar in league with the Revenue officials got mutation of the land measuring four kanals falling under Khasra number 71 min and allotted to father of the complainant, illegally attested in his favour despite there being not any family partition or settlement. Thus by resorting to fraudulent means, they caused wrongful loss to the complainant and wrongful gains to themselves.
