Employees, employers should avail full benefits of ESIC schemes: Panday

KATRA, Feb 9: Dushyant Pandey, Regional Director ESIC, today said that employees and employers should avail full benefits of Employees State Insurance Corporation and enroll themselves in this scheme.
He was speaking in a programme organized jointly by Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India (ESIC) and Hotel & Restaurant Association, Katra.
State Medical Officer Dr Gurjyot Kaur; ESIC Medical Vigilance officer Dr Saurav Sadhotra; Hotel & Restaurant Association, Katra, President Rakesh Wazir; Chairman Shyam Lal Kesar, Sr Vice President Virender Kesar, SMVD Katra Press Club President Arun Sharma, Davinder Purohit and others were present on the occasion.
Pandey said that ESIC is the only scheme which gives benefit to employees while serving in the job and even after death or in case of some injury and is a real partner of the employee and the employer.
Rakesh Wazir, while speaking on the occasion, said that best hospitals of the country are enrolled with the ESIC and Narayana Super Speciality Hospital is one of them. He said that in the event of eventuality or mortality of any employee, the ESIC gives salary to the dependent of the deceased which is a big relief for the employees of private sector units.
Shyam Lal Kesar said that awareness of the schemes of ESIC is the best possible way by which we can attract maximum number of employees and employers towards the scheme and it should be voluntarily rather than by force and even the employers who have not been able to adhere to some of the guidelines should be given chance for fulfilling those formalities, and be briefed rather than penalized.
Dr Gurjyot Kaur elaborated how the reimbursement of bills or treatment in the best hospitals of the country which are enrolled with ESIC can be done and further elaborated that employees can have treatment in any part of the country irrespective of the fact that where that employee is enrolled.
Dr Saurav Sadhotra and Virender Kesar also spoke on the occasion.
Dr Palak Pandoh presented vote of thanks whereas Branch Manager & Social Security Officer Kulbhushan Gupta conducted proceedings of the programme.
