JAMMU, Feb 10: Ankur Maitrika Hospital has cured a 53 year old man with complex fracture and other problems.
The patient reached Emergency Department of the Hospital as a case of poly-trauma, frontal sinus fracture with CSF leak with nasal bone fracture with Zygomaticomaxillary complex fracture.
Upon arrival the patient was resuscitated by the emergency team of the hospital led by Dr. Vernpall Singh.
Neurosurgical team led by Dr. Vipul Kumar Gupta, ENT team led by Dr. Mohit Goel and dental team led by Dr. Ginni Pathania attended the patient and Dr. Ankur Salada was given a call.
Within 30 minutes of arrival of the patient he was shifted to operation theatre. He had low GCS score with massive bleed. In OT surgery was carried out for 5 hours.
Crainotomy with frontal sinus repair with Crainoplasty with nasal bone reduction with Zygoma bone fixation and Maxilla Fixation was done. The anesthesia team was led by Dr. Rohit Gupta.
The patient was shifted to ICU post surgery and he was extubated next day.
The patient was doing well post surgery period and was shifted to the room after two days care in ICU.
A handout of the Hospital stated that the patient has been mobilized and is being discharged in stable condition.
