RAJOURI, Feb 10: Police here today detained a criminal under Public Safety Act (PSA) for his repeated involvement in unlawful activities.
A team of cops from Police Post Lam and Police Station Nowshera of Nowshera Sub-Division detained the criminal Mohammad Azam, son of Wazir Hussain, resident of Wand Mohra, Pukharni in Qila Darhal area of Nowshera as he was posing threat to peace and order.
Azam has been lodged in Rajouri District Jail.
A detention order was issued by the District Magistrate Rajouri, on the basis of a detailed report submitted by District Police Office Rajouri.
A handout of Police Department stated that though the criminal was booked in a number of cases at Police Station Nowshera yet he was not mending his ways and was involved in unlawful acts.
Over this, a detained report was prepared by District Police Office Rajouri which was submitted to DM Rajouri, who issued an order for his detention under PSA.
