Road connectivity to villages demanded

DODA, Feb 12: Jammu and Kashmir Dalit Sena today criticized the Government for depriving the Scheduled Castes of village Suranga and Scheduled Tribes of village Kunthal of Tehsil Thathri of road connectivity by deviating the main road on Khara-Jai road project.
Sena chief, Romesh Lal Bhagat, in a hand out issued here has expressed resentment over the discriminative attitude of the authorities, saying authorities have become mute, deaf and dumb over the hue and cry of the villagers since 2009 for the road connectivity.
He demanded the Government to provide road link to the said villages from their own Panchayat-Joura Kalan, which falls in straight alignment from Halaram, Budhi, Joura Kalan and Lower Shamdlian with very less or no loss to the environment.
The Dalit Sena chief appealed the Chief Minister and Minister for Roads and Buildings, Abdul Majid Wani, to intervene into the matter and ensure justice to the SC and ST community of villages Suranga and Kunthal.
