JAMMU, Feb 13: An International value Education Seminar on Promoting Peace for making Bharat Sustainable Developed and Strong, followed by Award ceremony was organized by The American University, USA ( AUGP ) and UN University for Global Peace ( UNUGP ) here, today.
The world renowned eminent Scientist Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan was the chief guest who delivered the Key note address and Prof. Dr. Kulbhushan Mothra presided over the programme.
Other dignitaries were Maj Gen (retd) Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, Group Captain (retd) Kamal Singh Oberh, Brig (retd) Dr. Vijay Sagar Dheman etc .
Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan The Chairman cum Chief Rector of The American University also conferred Doctorate Degree to some selected personalities such as Dr Romesh Khajuria, Dr Abhijeet Jasrotia, Dr Ms Pryanka Vaid, Dr Vijay Saraf, Dr Parneesh Mahajan and also “Nation Nirman Award” to Padmashree Awardees Shiv Dutt Nirmohi, Mohan Singh Salathia, Ramalo Ram and Certificate of appreciation to Sohail Qazmi, senior journalist, Avtar Bhat, Hira Lal Bhat, Rajeshwar Singh Raju, Brij Mohan etc.
Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan also informed that more than 30000 peace builders every Year World wide are being produced by his USA based University The main peace mission of AUGP is to build a transformed civilization of “Peace Loving, Peace Living, Peace Practicing worldwide with continuous efforts to transform the global civil society to stop war, drugs , terrorism, human trafficking etc. He announced that the name of Naredra Modi is nominated for Atal Behari Vajpayee Noble Peace Award from his USA based The American University with branches in over 120 countries .
Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan also announced that a mega event of “Art For Peace” will be organized soon in the Boarder of Indo- PoK as well as Indo- China where a live painting of more than one kilometer will be made.
NCC cadets gave the Guard of Honour to Chief Guests & Guests of Honour. Cadets were also honoured with medals and Certificate of Excellence.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Romesh Khajuria, Chairman, WWEPC, Ministry Of Textiles, Govt. Of India . Prof. Dr. Kulbhushan Mohtra was appointed as Ambassador of American University USA ( J&K Chapter).
The new book with title “ The Untold Story of Terrorism & Proxy War” authored by Prof Dr Kulbhushan Mohtra was released by the dignitaries on the occasion.
