JAMMU, Feb 13: A notorious criminal was booked under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) by Police in Channi Himmat area here today.
Kapil Sharma alias Jimmy of Chowadhi, Jammu, was earlier on Monday arrested by Police Station Bari Brahamana for his involvement in multiple criminal cases registered against him at different police stations of the District but soon after the arrest, the accused managed to get bail from the court of law.
Since the accused was also wanted in 12 FIRs registered at different police stations of Jammu District and a warrant of arrest against the accused was also issued by the concerned authorities, a team of Police Station Channi Himmat led by SHO concerned, Inspector Mohammad Sadiq, today arrested the accused person from the area falling under their (Police Station Channi Himmat’s) jurisdiction.
After his arrest, the accused was shifted to Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
