RAMGARH, Feb 15: During a function here today State Bank of India (SBI), Administrative Office Jammu under Bank’s CSR initiative has donated a 10 KVA diesel genset and medical equipments worth Rs. 8 lakh to the Community Health Centre (CHC), Ramgarh for the benefit of local population visiting the CHC for medical care.
Dr. Lakhwinder Singh, Block Medical Officer, Ramgarh was also present on the occasion and he hailed the Bank’s initiative and said that the equipments will be of great help to the needy people residing in this far flung area.
He also said that Ramgarh area is close to Indo-Pak International Border and it takes care of medical facilities of about 22 villages.
The medical equipments were handed over by SBI DGM Jammu module, Ravindra Kumar Gupta and Sanjeev Mahajan, AGM, RBO-III, Jammu to CHC authorities.
Gupta emphasized on the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of the Bank for the betterment of society and was pleased that the medical equipments will be of great help to the patients visiting CHC, Ramgarh.
