SAMBA, Feb 15: In continuation to its drive against illegal mining, Samba police has seized three vehicles including two dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba and Police Station (PS) Ramgarh which were being used for illegal transportation/mining material for the construction purpose.
Police said a team of Police Post (PP) Mansar headed by in charge PP while performing vehicle checking duty at naka Mansarhas seized two dumpers bearing Registration Number JK19A-7210 and Number JK21G-0036 for illegal mining/transportation in the area.
A police party of Border Police Post (BPP) Koulpur headed by in charge Police Post, Koulpur has intercepted a tractor trolley without Registration Number for checking at naka Koulpur. During checking, the driver of the vehicle failed to produce valid document and was found illegally transporting construction material from Devak river bed.
The vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
