AIMCCC demands permanent rehabilitation, submits memorandum to RRC

JAMMU, Feb 15: All India Migrant Camps Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) has demanded permanent rehabilitation of Kashmiri migrants in Valley in accordance to their geo-political aspirations.
The Committee delegation which met Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Dr Arvind Kerwani here, today put forth this demand. The delegation, which was led by the president of AIMCCC, Desh Rattan Pandita submitted a memorandum to him in this regard. It also demanded special healing touch policy be launched for the displaced Pandits from Valley, separate budget for the community and economic rehabilitation of over aged youth of the community who are the worst sufferers of turmoil.
It demanded that over aged youth be given Rs 25 lakh loan to establish their business. The delegation also demanded political reservation in all democratic institutions be given to community right from Panchayat to Parliament.
It also demanded release of balance ex-gratia for gutted houses and other properties in Valley, extending the benefit of PM Kisan Nidhi to displaced farmers and benefit of all other Government schemes which are given to other people of the UT be given to migrants also.
It demanded enhancement of cash relief to Rs 25,000, changing of nomenclature from migrants to displaced persons or dislocated persons, removal of encroachment from migrants land in Valley, preparing of Ayushman cards for the displaced Pandits and ending the discrimination in this regard.
