JWM’s concern over delay in payment of relief to migrants

JAMMU, Feb 15: Jagti Welfare Movement (JWM) has expressed grave concern over delay in release of monthly cash relief to the Kashmiri migrants and demanded that the same be released without further delay.
In a statement issued here, today, chairman of the Movement, Sunil Pandita said that the migrants who are totally dependent on cash doles from Government are hard pressed due to delay in release of cash assistance. He said some parents are unable to pay the school dues and bus fare of their children.
Pandita also demanded distribution of monthly ration including sugar and flour to relief holders in time every month. He expressed concern over withholding of payment basis ration to migrant employees and demanded that same be restored immediately.
Pandita sought immediate intervention of Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner in the matter and urged him to sort out the issue without further delay.
