JAMMU, Feb 13: National Panthers Party member was marshaled out when he was protesting and demanding acceptance of adjournment motion, with regard to the discussion on denial of relief to Talwara migrants in the Upper House today.
When the House started its routine business in the morning, Sayed Rafiq Shah, lone member of NPP stood up and requested the `chair’ to admit his adjournment motion seeking discussion on the issue, suspending the Question Hour. As the Chairman did not give heed to his plea, Shah moved to the `well’ of the House and started protest, raising slogans and demanding justice for Talwara migrants. He alleged that despite apex court directions, the State Government has denied relief to the Talwara migrants at par with Kashmiri migrants.
The Chairman, Amrit Malhotra disallowed the motion and asked the watch and ward staff to marshal out the protesting member. The NPP member was then marshaled out of the House.
