IMS organizes orientation programme for MBA students

JAMMU, Feb 17: A two- day orientation program for the students of MBA 2nd & 4th semester was organized by the Institute of Management Studies on the college campus.
The program witnessed the presence of various imminent guests such as Er Niraj Dubey, Sr Faculty, GCET Jammu; Er Nidhi Jamwal, Chief Coordinator, IMS along with Dr Meenakshi Sharma, Director IMS; Prof J R Dhotra, faculty member and students.
Day one of the orientation program commenced with the welcome addresses by Dr Meenakshi Sharma. This was followed by an informative session by the guest speaker Er Nidhi Jamwal, who interacted with the students on the Topic – Enhance your Lifestyle: Let’s Shed the Inhibitions. She encouraged the students to work on their skills to secure their career and life goals.
After this, a session on Entrepreneurial Skills was conducted by Coordinator Management Department, Er Divya Jamwal.
To continue with the theme of student enhancement, day two of the program entailed an enlightening session by Er Niraj Dubey, Sr Faculty at GCET on ‘Emerging trends on cybersecurity and online privacy’. He emphasized the need to take digital literacy in order to guard ourselves against cyber threats.
The second half of the day saw an activity on Brand Decoding – where students discussed the various branding strategies used by corporate organizations. The orientation program concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Prof J R Dhotra, Professor IMS.
