POONCH, Feb 17: Municipal Committee team launched anti-encroachment drive in Surankote town and removed illegally encroachments from footpaths, roads and lanes.
Official sources said that some shopkeepers and vendors had encroached the footpaths with theor goods. With this the pedestrians were facing problem. In view of this, the team removed the goods displayed outside and also imposed a fine of Rs 6000 on the traders.
EO Municipality, Poonch Mohd Yaqoob holding additional charge of Surankote Municipal Committee said that they have warned the shopkeepers to be in limits of shops and do not keep the goods outside and on footpaths.
