Roop Nagar Housing Colony delegation calls on Commissioner JMC

JAMMU, Feb 18: A deputation of Welfare Association JDA Housing Colony Roop Nagar called on Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) under the chairmanship of Uttam Deep Sharma and submitted a memorandum to him highlighting the problems of the area.
The delegation demanded repair and renovation of various parks in Sector 2 , 3 and 5, repairs of link roads in the colony, construction of drains and culverts in the colony, proper cleanliness and maintenance of sanitation in the colony, renovation of bathrooms in Sector 1, removal of menace of stray dogs, repair of street lights, especially on Aap Shambu road, including of Roop Nagar Colony with WNo 60 Paloura or Janipur Colony.
They said maximum votes of Word No 62 fall in JDA Housing Colony, Roop Nagar Sector 1 to 9. Approximately 3500 remaining votes adjusted from Ward No 37 Janipur Colony to adjoining Roop Nagar and remaining approximately 1400 votes of Ward No 62, Laxmipuram Chinore area be adjusted in adjoining Ward 64 of Chack Changarwan for the convenience of the general public. The other members of the delegation were M K Fotedar, N L Bhat, Dr Sudershan Kumar etc.
