SAMBA, Feb 18: Continuing drive against illegal mining in the district, Samba police has seized three vehicles in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba and Police Station (PS) Vijaypur which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police teams of Police Station Samba headed by SHO PS Samba and Police Post (PP) Mansar headed by in charge Police Post Mansar have seized one tractor trolley bearing Registration Number JK21J- 5344 and one Dumper bearing registration Number JK14H-0561 respectively for illegal mining/transportation of construction material in their respective jurisdictional area.
Similarly, a police party of Police Station Vijaypur headed by SHO, PS Vijaypur during patrolling duty in the area has seized one tractor trolley bearing Registration Number JK21J- 2835 for illegal mining/transportation in the area.
The vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
