JAMMU, Feb 14: All J&K Shri Sad Guru Kabir Sabha observed ‘Kabir Nirwan Diwas’ at its new venue Chak-avtara, Bishnah. The function was largely attended by the devotees/followers of Bhagat Kabir from different parts of the State. The devotees especially from district Reasi, Kathua, and Udhampur came in the shape of procession in large numbers by raising the slogans.
The All J&K Shri Sad Guru Kabir Sabha set forth the construction of new Kabir Bhawan on Nirwan Divas Day. On this occasion Baba Bhagwan Dass Ji, laid the foundation stone of the Bhawan. The spiritual discourse was delivered by Dina Nath Ji Punjab wale disciple of Great Mahatma Shri Chandi Ram Ji on the bani of Saints with special reference to Kabir Bani. He explained the sangat that Kabir was a living spirit of God & preached the inner richness of human values and his main thrust was on humanity by spreading the message of love, peace and tranquility. According to Kabir Sahib bani, all human are equal and the only way to attain moksha depends on one’s karma & not the materialistic world.
President of the Sabha, F C Bhagat while addressing the gathering said that Sant Kabir was a beacon of enlightment and spiritual attainment. He offered vote of thanks. He also appealed the committees of the Sabha to identify the widows/orphan families so as to provide all possible help for their upliftment. He also appreciated the State Govt. for declaring Kabir Jyanti as restricted holiday and appealed to the State Govt. for converting it into Gazetted holiday.
Mula Ram (Ex Minister) & Chairman of the Sabha was the chief guest. Among others who attended the function were Prof. Gharu Ram, MLA, R.S. Pura, K.C. Bhagat, MLA, Chenani, Sham Lal, MLC, Chaman Lal, Ex MLA.
