REASI/SAMBA, Feb 19: Prakash Ustav of Guru Ravi Dass Ji was celebrated by Ravi Dass Sabha here today.
Vijay Lochan, chairman NC SC Cell; Jagjeevan Lal, former minister and District NC president Reasi; Moti Ram, president Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Reasi; Rakesh Singh Raka, vice president Central Zone; Deepak Attri, Jagga Ram and others also participated in the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Vijay Lochan said that teachings of Guru Ravi Dass have inspired generations and helped in transforming the society.
He highlighted the role played by Guru Ji in ensuring that all segments of the society live with honour and dignity.
Jagjeevan Lal called for imbibing the spirit of love, compassion, peace and harmony as professed by great saints and seers all their life.
Moti Ram, president of Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Reasi emphasized that Guru Ravi Dass Ji held steadfast faith in values of harmony and brotherhood.
Dewan Chand, Ravi Kumar, Munshi Ram, Thakar Dass, Manga Ram, Dara Singh, Subash Chander, Hukam Chand, Om Prakash, Gokul, Ajay Salathia and others were also present on this occasion.
Meanwhile, a grand Shobha Yatra was taken out from Samba on the birth anniversary of Guru Ravi Dass Ji.
The Shobha Yatra was flagged off by Dy.SP Bhisham Dubey from Kehli Mandi ground.
Dubey was accompanied by Guru Ravi Dass Sabha’s Swami Gurdeep Giri; district president of the Sabha, Balkar Chand; general secretary, Surrinder Attri; Ram Lal, Suram Chand, Diwan others.
The Yatra passed through Border Road, Main Chowk, Link Bazar, Maharaja Hari Singh Chowk and concluded at Guru Ravi Dass Temple in Diyani.
On this occasion, Swami Gurdeep Giri enthralled the gathering with his sermons and urged the people to follow the path shown by the Guru Ji.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were former national president of NSUI Neeraj Kundan and Youth Congress spokesperson Sandeep Sharma.
