JKAACL organises ‘Sangeet Sandhya’ dedicated to Padma Sachdev

JAMMU, Feb 19: The heart touching lyrics of Padam Shree Padma Sachdev melodiously composed by renowned Music Composer, Brij Mohan enthralled the audience at KL Sehgal hall here today during the programme ‘Sangeet Sandhya’ based on the poetry of Padma Sachdev organised by J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages (JKAACL).
The programme was presided over by Prof. Lalit Magotra, president Dogri Sanstha while Ramesh Arora, Ex-MLC was chief guest on the occasion and Zorawar Singh Jamwal, chairman Team Jammu was guest of honour.
The programme was compeered by Promila Manhas in which renowned singer Lovely Chandra sang two Dogri songs.
Kusha Sharma, Chinmaie Sharma and Vanshika Jaral presented a forceful chorus song ‘Kaali Pagga Aala Megi Akhien Marda’.
Kusha Sharma and Chinmaie Sharma both are nieces of Padma Sachdev and proud daughters of celebrated Dogri poet Late Gianeshwar Ji.
Riaz Malik also displayed his performance.
Rakesh Jasrotia played flute; Vicky Gill, synthesizer; Darshan Taroch, guitar, Amit Anand, Tabla and Darbari Lal, Dholak.
The musical magic of Brij Mohan captivated the audience and made the event memorable.
Bharat Singh Manhas, Secretary JKAACL also spoke on the occasion.
Dr. Shahnawaz, Head of Gojri wing at JKAACL extended vote of thanks.
