JTC, SKF for permanent settlement of displaced Pandits in Valley

JAMMU, Feb 19: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) /Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K was held at Jagti township near here, today under the chairmanship of its president Shadi Lal Pandita.
Addressing the members Pandita said that Kashmiri Pandits leading an exiled life for past 34 years are facing many hardships. He said it is not known to the hapless community that how long they have to lead this life as the successive governments both in the State and at Centre failed to solve this issue.
Pandita said that in the year of 2014 elections Prime Minster, Narendra Modi had said that if the BJP comes to power Kashmiri Pandits will be resettled in Valley and their problems will be solved. But in last 10 years this issue has not been solved which is a cause of concern for the community.
He demanded permanent resettlement of Kashmir Pandits by establishing three township in erstwhile District of Anantnag, Srinagar and Baramulla and enhancement of cash relief from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 with announcement of fresh job policy of 20,000 jobs for the community and settling of other burning issues.
