JAMMU, Feb 22: The work of laying the slab of the second floor of the Community Hall of Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust (Regd.) Ramlila Ground located in Gangyal was started here today.
The former Deputy Mayor Jammu and senior BJP leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria kick started the construction work of the community hall slab. This development work will be executed under the supervision of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). Speaking on the occasion, former Deputy Mayor Jammu and senior BJP leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that the construction of the second slab of this Community Hall will be of special benefit to the people of the surrounding and adjoining areas, people will be able to celebrate their small and big functions here.
He said that an amount has been earmarked for this work but if needed more funds will be made available to complete the work of the community hall. Billawaria said that the members of the Trust have put forward to him the demand of opening the library on the third floor for the students to study. He assured to fulfill the demands of the members of Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust as soon as possible and said that the demand of opening a library by Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust is a good initiative in the field of education.
He said that with the opening of libraries in the area, youths will not go into bad company and they will be attracted towards books. He further said that he is ready to cooperate with whatever demand the Trust puts forward for the construction of the library.
Trust president, Rajiv Sharma, BJP Mandal president, Ranjit Singh, Durga Mandir Committee president, Puran Verma, Ravidas Temple Committee president, Ramesh Sangral, Sector-4 Gangyal Temple president, Ashok Pandita, Gangyal Sector-6 Temple & Jwala Ji Colony President, MK. Raina, Morning Walker Association president, Rajiv Kumar, Dr. Kuldeep Gupta, Nitin Baloria, Punjab Singh, Ajit Bhadwal and other dignitaries were present.
