JAMMU, Feb 15: Sixty-one Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers of 1995 batch have been empanelled as Joint Secretary in the Government of India.
They included two IAS officers of Jammu and Kashmir cadre—Rohit Kansal, presently posted as Private Secretary to Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Dr Farooq Abdullah and Shailender Kumar, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.
“As many as 61 officers belonging to IAS of 1995 batch and various cadres have been empanelled for the posts of Joint Secretary or equivalent in the Government of India,’’ official sources said.
