Dr Anila Charak conferred with Sahitya Sanchay Gaurav Samman

JAMMU, Feb 24: Renowned writer Dr Anila Singh Charak has been conferred with Sahitya Sanchay Gaurav Samman by Sahitya Sanchay Shodh Sanstha for her exemplary literary work in the field of literature.
She along with 31 writers was honored during a function, attended by Dinesh Mali, Dr Harish Naval (renowned satirist), Dr Raghuvir Sharma (Assistant Director Rajbhasha Sammellan), Rama Kant Udbhrant and others.
Dr Anila’s literary work, specially her satire, has been widely acclaimed at national and international level. The analysis of her book “Mask Ke Peeche Kya Hai” has been published in the magazine Setu of USA Pittsburgh.
She has 14 books to her credit and two more books of Ghazals and English translation of her awarded book “Nange Paanv Zindagi” is under publication. Jammu Kashmir Sahitya Academy had conferred her best book award in 2008.
Besides literature, she has also a passion for paintings and her innumerable exhibitions were organised at national and international level. During her college days, she had a passion for cricket and has played nationals. Apart from achievements at wider level, she has won Best Principal award as an educationist by former President Dr A P J Kalam.
While working as Principal in (DAE) Bhabha Research Centre in Mumbai, she had won Homi Bhabha Award as an educationist.
