JAMMU, Feb 27: The Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) at GMC Jammu organized a venous intervention camp, employing cutting-edge endovenous radiofrequency technology.
As per a statement, three patients underwent EVRF procedures, thanks to resources provided by the department and disposables arranged under ABPMJAY, ensuring top-notch care for those in need.
Traditionally, varicose vein treatments involved lengthy recovery periods with groin-based vein stripping surgeries. However, the introduction of EVRF procedures promises shorter recovery times, benefitting numerous patients seeking relief from such ailments.
Dr Arvind Kohli, the camp coordinator, commended Team CTVS for a successful camp and stressed the importance of acquiring modern infrastructure for advanced vascular surgery treatments in the region.
This includes a hybrid Cath lab and essential equipment like RFA and laser machines, crucial not only for patient care but also for training future DNB Vascular trainees.
