JAMMU, Feb 28: A meeting of J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) was held here, today under the chairmanship of Manzoor Ahmad Kitchloo.
The meeting threadbare discussed the issues of employees and it was urged on administration to solve the genuine demands of employees.
The demands highlighted in the meeting included Increase in Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000, restoration of old pension scheme, enhancement of wages of various contractual categories like Aanganwadi workers, ASHA workers, need base employees and contingent paid employees, AAYAS.
It also demanded reguralisation of daily wagers of different departments, immediate holding of DPCs in different engineering departments like Jal Shakti, Public Works etc.
The employee leaders who spoke and attended meeting included Abdul Rashid Bhat, district president, Anantnag, Mohammad Nayeem Ahanger cashier, Shakeel Ahmad Dev from Doda, Bhoori Singh, Om Prakash, Irshad Ahmad and others.
