SRINAGAR, Mar 1: National Conference President and Member of the Parliament Farooq Abdullah on Saturday said the party is working with an ultimate goal to secure Jammu & Kashmir’s identity.
He said NC’s policy is centered around bridging the gap between different sections of people irrespective of their region, religion or caste.
Abdullah said this while interacting with a number of functionaries from the party’s North, South and central zone units who called on him at the party Headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, a party statement said.
“We have to work together to achieve the ultimate goal of securing our abridged rights. NC will continue to strive for the protection of J&Ks land, jobs and democratic rights which have been undermined over these years,” the NC President said.
He said the coming few months are crucial; for the future of the politics of Jammu & Kashmir.
“It surely calls for hard work, discipline and unity,” the former Chief Minister added.
Farooq Abdullah exhorted the functionaries to work in tandem shouldering the critical responsibilities entrusted to them with a sense of belongingness and commitment. (Agencies)
