JKAACL organises mega cultural festival

UDHAMPUR, Mar 2: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in collaboration with GDC Udhampur, organised a one day mega cultural festival in Udhampur.
Padhmashri Shiv Nirmohi, a renowned Dogri writer graced the occasion as chief guest. Anjali Mahajan from GDC Nagrota and Prakash Premi were the guests of honor. Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal Govt Degree College, Udhampur was among dignitaries.
Bharat Singh Manhas, Secretry JKAACL, while speaking on the occasion, said that this was the 5th megha cultural festival being organized in the district Udhampur since March 2023.
He said the main objective of the Academy is to search new talent, especially in the local areas of all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir division and also to provide the platform to senior artists to disseminate the regional culture of the state.
Shiv Nirmohi, while praising the literary and cultural activities of the Academy, said JKAACL has now become more vibrant by continuously organizing its activities in all corners of the J&K.
Suresh Kumar Dogra presented vote of thanks. The event was conducted by Prof Pankaj Sharma and Prof Revika Arora who was also the coordinator of the whole programme.
The folk parties that presented the various shades and colors of Dogra culture in the shape of traditional and folk included Subash Brahmnu and Party, V D Shrushta and Party, Mohan Lal and Party, Neeta Adrash and Party, Des Raj and Party, Ashok Kumar and Party, Rakesh Kumar and party, Dhani Ram and Party, Ashok Hans and Party, Zulekha Farida and Party, Mohan Lal and Party (Bhakh), Sunil Kumar and Party and four parties of the GDC Udhampur.
