JAMMU, Mar 3: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister today emphasized the importance of people’s participation in shaping the vision of Viksit Bharat.
He was speaking during a Sanskrit, Art & Culture Sammelan titled ‘Ek Kadam Viksit Bharat ki Aur’ organized by the party’s All Cells at Channi area of Jammu city. On the occasion, Ved Sharma, co-convenor of All Cells, Sahil Mahajan, co-convenor, Narinder Singh, co-convenor of Sanskrit, Art and Culture Cell were present. The Sammelan was organized by Kulbir Charak, convenor of Sanskrit, Art and Culture Cell.
In his address, Kavinder highlighted the BJPs’ ongoing initiative to gather suggestions from people of the country for its Lok Sabha election manifesto. He mentioned that the party, under the leadership of JP Nadda, has launched a fortnight-long drive deploying Video Raths that will traverse over 4,000 Assembly constituencies nationwide to gather inputs from the public.
As part of this initiative, Kavinder informed that the party has installed Sujhav Peti (Suggestion Box) across the Union Territory, seeking suggestions from the people for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He emphasized that suggestions can be submitted in written format, through missed calls, or via the NAMO App to ensure maximum participation and convenience.
The senior BJP leader underscored the BJP’s commitment in fostering participatory democracy, stating, “The party aims to involve the people of Jammu and Kashmir in democracy by seeking their valuable suggestions. “We have to play a vital role in making this campaign successful.”
Highlighting the significance of public feedback in shaping the party’s manifesto, Kavinder said, “BJP is the world’s largest political party, and people’s suggestions will be of utmost importance in shaping the party’s manifesto.”
During the event, Kavinder also had the honour of releasing a book by Usha Kiran and distributing ration cards and domiciles to deserving individuals during the programme, further underscoring the party’s commitment to public welfare.
