Jan urges Govt to provide relief to rain-hit people

JAMMU, Mar 3: Provincial president of Youth National Conference (JKNC) for Jammu, Ajaz Jan today conducted a visit to the remote areas of Poonch and Mandi to assess the aftermath of severe weather conditions.
Witnessing the extensive damage caused by heavy snowfall and incessant rains, he expressed profound concern for the well-being of the affected residents.
During his visit, the former Legislator observed that numerous areas like Sawjian, Gagrian, Chamber, Dunogam, Beedar, Baloni, Baila on Mandi Phagla road, Trichal, Marnote, Arai road PMGSY, Seikloo, Arai Peeran, Haveli, Malkan, Loran Wand, Tantrian, Bela Bala, Batalkote, Barachar, Kharapa, Chickry Ban, Lohil Beela, Maharkote, Sib, Plera, Rajpura, Fatehpur, Dhara, Block Sathra, Galipindi, Saloonian, Jandroola, Kehnoo, Kulani Narhad, Upper Chakaatroo, Khri Karmara, Gulpur, Sain Baba Block, Islamabad, Noona Bandi, Kirni, Manhaar Gontrian, Saral, Khanitar, Bainch, Salootri, Kanoian Upper, Gulpur, Banpat Mangnar, Qasba, Dingla Chandak, Shahpour, Bandicheichian, Surankot, Mendhar, Darhal Budhal, Noshera, Rajouri, Manjakot and Thannamandi have suffered significant infrastructural damages due to the adverse weather conditions.
In response to these challenges, the senior NC leader called upon the Government to announce a comprehensive package for the affected families in Rajouri and Poonch districts. Such measures are essential to providing immediate relief and facilitating the restoration of normalcy in the lives of those affected.
The NC leader commended the district administration for its commendable efforts in reaching out to the affected population despite the daunting circumstances of heavy snowfall and remote locations.
