JAMMU, Feb 18: Seventeen persons including three minors received burn injuries due to gas leakage in a marriage function at Abdullian, falling under the jurisdiction of RS Pura police station.
As per police sources, a marriage function was going in the house of Sham Lal, son of Jeet Raj of Abdullian, when gas pipe of an LGP cylinder burst and the fire engulfed the tent, resulting into burn injuries to 17 persons.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the victims to RS Pura hospital. Later two women were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as Lovely Choudhary, son of Surinder Kumar, Swarna Devi, wife of Balvinder Kumar, Ankush Sharma, son of Jaspal Sharma, Tilak Raj, son of Ram Lal, Poonam Devi, daughter of Darshan Lal, Shashi Kumar, daughter of Yashpal, Sunita Kumari, wife of Booby Lal, Vishali, daughter of Ramesh Lal, Parveen Kumari, wife of Chamail Singh, Sunita Devi, daughter of Gurdass, Kewal Krishan, son of Baldev Raj, Sawan Choudhary, son of Rajpal, Varun Singh, son of Chamail Singh, Poli Devi, wife of Tilak Raj, all resident of Abdullian, Rekha Devi, wife of Dalbir Choudhary of Gajansoo, Marh, Joginder Kumar, son of Ram Lal of Raipur and Pankaj, son of Kuku of RS Pura.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at RS Pura police station and investigation started.
