WWAO holds seminar on National Thinking Day

JAMMU, Feb 18: Women World Awakening Organisation (WWAO) held a seminar to celebrate National Thinking Day (Jammu Chapter of the Organisation), today.
The topic of the day was condition of women everyday, today and tomorrow covering the social, religious and political aspects of a woman’s life. The emphasis was mainly on the prevailing condition of the women in general.
Dr Nirmal Kamal (Retd) HoD of Economics, Jammu University, Prof Veena Gupta from Dogri Department and Prof Sapandeep from Handa College of Education were the main speakers.
The prominent among the executive body of the organization were Prof Sarla Kohli, president, Dr Renu Gupta (chairperson, MIER College) vice president, Prof Indira Rathore (Retd Principal) general secretary, Prof Nancy Handoo, joint secretary Shashi Thakur (DySP) & treasurer who also welcomed the dignitaries and anchored the programme.
Prominent social worker Rita Jitender headed the interactive session of the seminar.
Besides the elite gathering the prominent among the audience were Anita Charak heading the Department of Atomic Energy at Hyderabad and Vijay Sharma (Principal).
Members from National Chapter Sneh Bali (National general secretary), Veena Handa (chairperson Handa College of Education) National Advisor, were also present.
In the end vote of thanks was given by Veena Handa.
