RAMBAN, June 26: Panchayat Association, district Ramban in a specially convened executive body meeting under the chairmanship of its president Ch Mohd Farooq, demanded empowerment of Panchayats at an earliest.
Office bearers of the Association were also nominated on the occasion with Bashir Ahmed Bhat as senior vice president, Abdul Rashid Manhas as chief advisor, Shafiq Ahmed Katoch as additional general secretary, Riaz Ahmed Mir as chief spokesman and Ishar Singh Bali as treasurer.
Several senior members were also present.
