JAMMU, Mar 4: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range Shridhar Patil undertook a comprehensive visit to the Banihal-Ramban stretch of National Highway-44 to assess the ongoing maintenance and restoration efforts. The visit was aimed to evaluate the impact of extensive damages caused by incessant rainfall over the past few days along the crucial Jammu-Srinagar Highway.
Accompanied by D.C Ramban Baseer-Ul-Haq, S.S.P Traffic Rohit Baskotra, Additional SP Ramban Gourav Mahajan, DySP Hqrs Ramban Om Prakash, SHO PS Chanderkote Insp Jatinder Rakwal, SHO PS Ramban Insp Vijay Kotwal and SHO Ramsoo Insp Devinder Singh, the DIG inspected key areas including Dhalwas Mehar, Seri and Panthyal focusing on the progress of Road work.
In a meeting with the local/Civil Quick Response Team (QRT) in Ramban, Patil expressed appreciation for their commendable efforts amidst challenging conditions. He emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant and high alert in addressing adverse situations.
During discussions with officials, the DIG provided strategic directions to ensure effective coordination and swift action in response to challenges encountered during the restoration process. His proactive engagement reflects the commitment of DKR Range Police to the safety and functionality of the National Highway-44.
Patil reaffirmed the dedication of the police force to ensure the smooth and secure passage of commuters on this vital transportation artery.
