RAJOURI, Mar 5: Vice Chancellor of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University has approved the establishment of a dedicated Viksit Bharat@2047 Cell in the University.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Akbar said that Viksit Bharat @2047 is flagship programme of the Government of India to make India a developed nation by 2047, the 100th year of independence. He said that the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 encompasses various aspects of development, including economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability and good governance.
The Vice Chancellor further said that the educational institutions, particularly the universities have a greater role to play in this direction. He said that BGSBU being a centre of responsible centre of learning and research has taken a lead and established a dedicated ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ cell in the University.
Prof Akbar said that the Cell will coordinate among various Government Departments, educational and research institutions and internal stakeholders towards the fulfillment of the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
