Hurra Ashtami celebrated with religious fervor, gaiety

JAMMU, Mar 5: Hurra Ashtami a sacred festival of Kashmiri Pandits dedicated to worship of Mother Goddess was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety across J&K.
During the sacred festival night long religious functions were held in various temples and Ashrams across the UT. In Srinagar a grand function was organized at Shree Shree Sharika Chakreshwari Hari Parbat. The function was organized by Shree Shree Sharika Chakreshwari Sanstha led by Ranjit Gorkha.
Another function was organised by the Sanstha at Dhok Paloura, here. At Shree Sharika Chakreshwari Hari Parbat, Srinagar function stared with traditional Shree Chakra Puja by devotees and night long Bhajan Kirtan and mantra recitation. At Jammu the function was held under the spiritual leadership of Vedic Guru Jai Krishan Khar which was followed by serving of Prasad to devotees.
Hurra Ashtami was also celebrated at KP Sabha, Ambphalla. A large number of devotees participated in night long Puja Archana and Bhajan Kirtan. A Samuhik Aarti was also held which was led by Sabha president, K K Khosa. The Puja was held in a traditional manner. All office bearers of Sabha attended the night long function.
Hurra Ashtami was also celebrated in Bhagavaan Gopi Nath Ji Ashram Udhaiwala Bohri near here where large number of devotees of Bhagavaan Ji participated in night long Jagran and Puja Archana. The devotees were also served Prasad. The grand night long religious function was also held at Swami Kumar Ji Ashram Muthi to celebrate the Hurra Ashtami.
Another function was held at Shiv Temple Subash Nagar Government quarters. The night -long Jagran was held and religious discourses were given by scholars on the significance of Hurra Aashtami. The function was organised by Subash Nagar Government quarters Welfare Committee, led by Sanjay Raina.
