NEW DELHI : The Lok Sabha was adjourned till noon amid protests over the Government’s alleged involvement in blocking the live telecast of House proceedings during discussion on Telangana Bill yesterday. The main opposition party BJP along with the Samajwadi Party, AIADMK and DMK raised the issue, accusing the Government of blocking the proceedings intentionally. BJP member Arjun Ram Meghwal said people wanted to know why the blackout happened.
Others members also raised questions saying why emergency-like situation was created in the House while the bill was being discussed.
Members from the SP, AIADMK and DMK trooped in the Well shouting against the incident and asking the Government for explanation.
Speaker Meira Kumar, sensing the mood of the agitated members, adjourned the House till 1200 hrs.
