DDC reviews Shiv Khori Mela preparations in Ransoo

Reasi, Mar 6: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Mahajan, who is also Vice Chairperson Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board (SSKSB), visited Ransoo today to oversee the preparations for the upcoming Shiv Khori Mela.
During the inspection, DDC Mahajan directed the concerned officers to set up three registration counters for the convenience of the devotees. He also instructed to increase the manpower for cleaning the track.
While interacting with shopkeepers, DDC Mahajan emphasized the importance of avoiding single-use plastic. He also directed the installation of dustbins along the track and at langar sites, and emphasized the need for clean and well-maintained toilets along the track.
She inspected cloak rooms and langar sites. Executive Officer of the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board (SSKSB), Pardeep Kumar, informed the DDC that all lights along the track have been repaired and new lights have been installed.
During the inspection, DDC Mahajan interacted with the devotees and gave a detailed review of the facilities provided by SSKSB.
BMO Pouni, Dr. Rajnish Kumar, informed that oxygen cylinders and all necessary medical facilities have been provided along the track and near the cave.
DDC Mahajan suggested proposing a plan for the beautification of the track. He also stated that only palanquin bearers would be allowed to walk on the track during the Shiv Khori Mela. He further instructed for continuous announcements on the track for the welfare of the devotees.
EO SSKSB Pardeep Kumar, XEn PWD, XEn JPDCL and PHE, Chief Agriculture Officer, Tehsildar Pouni, BDOs and other concerned officers were present during the inspection.
