AIIMS Jammu recognized as pioneering institution in implementing Mission Karmayogi Bharat

JAMMU, Mar 6: AIIMS Jammu has been recognized as one of the top three institutes nationwide and the first among all AIIMS of the country for its implementation of Mission Karmayogi Bharat.
This prestigious accolade was conferred during a recent meeting convened by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in Delhi. The meeting, held at National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, was chaired by V Hekali Zhimoni, Additional Secretary of the Ministry. Dr Dheeraj Shah, Director of NIHFW, Shyama Prasad Roy, Secretary of the Capacity Building Commission, Government of India, and Abhishek Singh, CEO of Karmayogi Bharat, Nidhi Kesharwani, Director, MoHFW and officials from all leading health institutions of India attended the gathering.
Dr Shaurya Darbari, Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery, represented AIIMS Jammu at the meeting and highlighted the remarkable initiatives undertaken by the institution under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Shakti Kumar Gupta, Executive Director and CEO. Dr Darbari emphasized the Institution’s commitment to continuous learning and development, attributing its success to the unwavering support and belief of Prof Gupta in the capacity building of the staff.
Among the unique initiatives showcased by AIIMS Jammu was the integration of Mission Karmayogi Bharat courses into its own training programs. Dr Darbari briefed about the regular conduct of in-house training sessions and group discussions following the completion of Karmayogi Bharat courses, fostering an environment of collaborative learning and skill enhancement among faculty and staff members.
The swift rise of AIIMS Jammu to become one of the top-performing institutions in the nation since its inauguration on February 20, 2024, was applauded and appreciated by the officials present.
Shailender Slathia, Assistant Controller of Examinations at AIIMS Jammu and designated nodal officer for Karmayogi Bharat expressed AIIMS Jammu’s aspirations to become a course provider in the future.
Mission Karmayogi Bharat, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2020, serves as a platform for enhancing the capabilities and competencies of public servants, ensuring efficient delivery of Government services and promoting good governance practices across the nation.
