Crash course on New Criminal Laws-2023 concludes at SKPA

UDHAMPUR, Mar 6: The five-day crash course on the new Criminal Laws-2023, concluded at Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy, here today.
Total 49 Police personnel from the rank of Constable to Inspectors of J&K Police from District Udhampur and Reasi participated in the course.
The program was organized on the directions of the J&K Police Headquarters with the objective of familiarizing the police personnel with the key provisions of the new Criminal Laws-2023 recently promulgated by the Central Government ensuring their implementation on the ground.
On conclusion of the course, a valediction function was organized in the Academy with SSP Rajinder Kumar Gupta, Dy Director (Indoor) SKPA, serving as the chief guest. In his valedictory address, he emphasized the importance of gaining knowledge of all three new Criminal Laws – Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita-2023, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam-2023, for their proper use on the ground after the implementation of these laws.
Amit Kumar Sehgal, Sr PO, SKPA; Sukhvir Singh, Dy SP, AD(Admn) SKPA; Inspr Paramjeet Singh, Inspr Rakesh Manni & SI Subash Chander of SKPA delivered impressive lectures to the trainees, focusing on understanding the New Criminal Laws to address contemporary challenges in law enforcement.
The course was coordinated by Amit Parkash Seghal, Sr Prosecuting Officer, assisted by SI Subash Chander of SKPA Udhampur.
