JAMMU, Mar 6: The monthly meeting of Retirees Police League District Jammu was held here today under the chairmanship of Karanjit Singh, President of the League.
A statement said that the meeting began with a two-minute silence to pay homage to the departed soul of Kamlesh Ghai wife of Vijay Kumar Ghai, DIG (retired), who passed away yesterday.
Thereafter, several important issues, including discrepancies in pay anomalies of officers of same ranks, reservation in jobs for wards of retired police personnel, provision of free medicines to the serving and retired police personnel in all Government hospitals, especially police hospitals were discussed threadbare in the meeting.
The participants requested the chairman of the ex Police Personnel, DGP RR Swain to look into their issues on priority.
Retired police personnel who attended the meeting included Ch Chirag Din, Ranjit Singh, Sarwar Chohan, Mahadeep Singh Jamwal, Mukesh Kumar, BL Kaul, Sardar Khan, Yoginder Singh, Kuldip Raj, S Mohan Singh, JS Chib, Mohammad Sadiq, Dhian Singh, VRR Bali, Satpal, Balwinder Kumar, Ramesh Chander, Mohinder Kumar, Satpal Singh, Noor Ahmed and Joginder Singh.
DIG JKS Range conveyed his gratitude to all the retirees.
