Durganagar delegation calls on CE PHE, MD PDD

JAMMU, Mar 6: A delegation of Durganagar Sector One and Sector Two led by Sanjay Ganjoo and Bihari Lal Raina presidents of respective sectors along with M.K.Razdan general secretary met Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti and appraised him the ongoing water crisis in the area.
The delegation requested him for the additional pipe from CPS to Muthi village for which the Department had earlier given assurance.
Ongoing project of new Tube Well was discussed in length and Chief Engineer(PHE) informed to the delegation that funds have been released to JDA and drilling process will be started soon.
The delegation also requested that they should not be made to suffer during coming Summer as the problem was not addressed during last 32 years.
The delegation later met MD (PDD) regarding the unscheduled power cuts, demanded separate feeder for Chinore which is being catered by RN6 Feeder presently. Besides MU (09) Feeder develops problem often and water supply to whole area gets disturbed with the result the people are receiving water after gap of six to seven days. The MD (PDD) has instructed officers of PDD for immediate action.
Later the delegation met Commissioner (Transport) for E-Bus service from Bus Stand to Durganagar Ward 64 for which he has directed to Chief Executive Officer (JMC) for taking the demand of residents in consideration and start the E-Bus service on the root.
The delegation also called DC (Relief) and requested him that necessary arrangements should be made by the Department for supply of Walnuts, Flowers, etc on genuine rates to the residents of the area on eve of Maha Shivratri.
The delegation requested authorities that adequate arrangements be made so that water should be supplied on daily basis and to avoid un-scheduled power cuts keeping in view the Maha Shivratri festival.
