Tulkul Collective’s ‘Shehlun’ theatre play highlights women’s journey

Srinagar, Mar 6: The Tulkul Arts and Media Collective, in collaboration with Model Govt Degree College Charar-i-Sharief, presented the impactful theatre play “Shehlun,” exploring women’s lives and struggles.
A spokesperson for the event said that crafted by scriptwriter Showkat Shehri and directed by Rayees Wathoori, “Shehlun” offered a poignant reflection on womanhood. He said “Shehlun” serves as a reminder of the transformative power of art in advocating for societal change and amplifying women’s voices. “Dr. Masrat delivered a welcome address, while SSP Ajaz Ahmad Bhat stressed the importance of laws for women’s security. SDM Chadoora Primrose Bashir highlighted art’s role in empowering women and addressing societal issues, as echoed by Prof. Raveena Hassan,” he said.
He said that the event garnered praise from notable figures, including Nisar Naseem, Gulzar Ganie, Gulzar Bhat, and Altaf Hussain.
