JAMMU, Mar 6: Mata Bhadrakali Asthapan Trust, Wadipora, Handwara, Kashmir, Sub Office Thalwal, Phallain Mandal, Jammu organised an impressive function to celebrate ‘Samuhik Dyaar Daham’ with traditional fervour and religious gaiety at Bhadrakali Asthapan Thalwal, near here, today.
With enthusiasm and fervour, the sisters of the community along with their families attended the function to seek the blessings of Mata on this auspicious day.
The dignitaries who threw light on various religious and social topics on the occasion included Pardeep Kaul, Researcher on Indian Philosophy; Prof (Dr) Meenakshi Kilam, former Head of JU’s Kathua Campus, BN Abhilash, famous poet; BL Hitexhi, social activist and Ajey Bharti, former MLC.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Meenakshi Kilam spoke on the generation gap and the ways to overcome it.
Pradeep Kaul threw light on the life of Mata Laleshwari Devi and her ‘Lalvakhs’.
Dr Ramesh Raina gave the tips as to how to keep oral hygiene, while in his concluding speech, Ajey Bharti emphasised on preserving language and culture.
Later-on, amid ‘Bhajan Kirtan’ Maha Bhog’ was served among all the devotees present on the occasion, besides all the sisters were presented with ‘Athoor’, salt pack and little cash in typical traditional way.
