2 held with over 350 kg poppy straw

JAMMU, Feb 19: Nagrota police today arrested two narcotic smugglers along with large quantity of poppy straw.
As per police sources, a team from police station Nagrota led by SHO Parvez Sajjad under the supervision of SDPO Khalik Choudhary laid a naka at TCP Nagrota and intercepted a tanker bearing registration number JK02K-6455 which was on way from Srinagar to Jammu.
During search, police seized 366 kilograms of poppy straw and arrested 2 narcotic smugglers, who have been identified as Mahinder Singh, son of Jeet Singh of Sainik Colony and Harjeet Singh, son of Isher Singh of Upper Gadigarh.
A case under FIR number 62/14 under Section 8/15 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station Nagrota and investigation started.
