Justice Imtiyaz authors book on judges conditions of service

JAMMU, Feb 19: Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain, former Judge of the State High Court and presently member of J&K State Accountability Commission, has written first of its kind book on the Supreme Court and High Court Judges Condition Service.
With the publication of this book, the State has taken a lead in the matter and has made a great contribution in the field of administration of justice in the country. The author has made earnest efforts to highlight the special features of the supervisor judiciary.
The author traces the history on the establishment of the Supreme Court of India and gives detailed information about the formation, composition and working of various High Courts in India. The method of appointment of judges, issues relating to the transfer of judges and other related issues on the conditions of service of the judges have also been dealt with in detail. The book also contains case law of the Supreme Court and High Courts on some of the hotly debated issues.
Judges of the Supreme Court and High Court have appreciated the efforts of Justice H Imtiyaz Hussain in compiling such a comprehensive book on the subject.
Justice F M Ibrahim Kalifulla, Judge Supreme Court of India has said, “the core issue dealt with in this book is about the statutes, rules and regulations that govern the working, service conditions and other benefits available to the Supreme Court and High Court judges of this country”.
Dr Justice A S Anand, former Chief Justice of India, while commenting on the book, has said, “the book is interesting, exhaustive and represents a complete study of the subject”, adding “the subject is complicated but it has been presented by the author in a lucid and interesting manner.
