RAMBAN, Mar 9: JKPCC president Vikar Rasool Wani today said that under the ten-year rule of the BJP Government, the country has suffered badly in various aspects.
The JKPCC chief said this while chairing a meeting of party workers. He asked his party cadres to gear up for Parliament elections. The meeting was held to take stock of the preparations for the upcoming Parliament elections besides discussing the burning issues of the people.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting include general secretary Imtiyaz Ahmed Khanday (DDC) and district president Banihal Ramban Parvez Ahmed Wani, WP Tosha Singh and BDC Chairman Karldeep Singh. The discussion at the meeting delved into the intricacies of the party’s strategies and how best to counter the BJP’s divisive tactics.
Wani stressed the significance of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and urged the public to unite in rejecting any forces that seek to sow division among communities. He pointed out that the BJP’s empty promises have been exposed by the failure of their policies to address the genuine needs of the people, instead relying on empty rhetoric.
He mentioned that every sector of society has been negatively impacted by the Government’s policies and decisions, with the people of Jammu and Kashmir being particularly affected. Wani, highlighted that the Modi Government has deprived the people of J&K of their rights to jobs and land by converting the State into a Union Territory. Additionally, he pointed out that issues such as property tax, toll plazas, smart meters, and unemployment have further exacerbated the hardships faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the unemployment rate is continuously rising.
Wani also criticized the administration led by LG Manoj Sinha in J&K, describing it as a failure in meeting the needs of the people and leaving them to struggle on their own. He asserted that the J&K Government, controlled by the BJP, has only brought more suffering to the people.
