Dr Ranjit successfully performs knee replacement on 90-year-old man

JAMMU, Mar 9: Senior Joint Replacement Surgeon at Ivy Hospital Amritsar, Dr Ranjit Singh successfully performed knee replacement procedure on a 90-years-old man from Ludhiana with his Zero Error technique.
Beant Singh Grewal from Ludhiana approached many doctors for his knee pain and had lost hope but Dr Ranjit Singh guided him towards way of recovery. The surgery was performed flawlessly by Dr Ranjit Singh within 20 minutes at Ivy Hospital Amritsar.
With the short surgical time of barely 20 minutes with minimal blood loss and muscle damage, the results of surgery were remarkable and quick. The patient resumed walk within two-three hours of surgery with almost no visible pain. The patient became capable of climbing chair within few days.
Commenting on the chronic knee pain, Dr Ranjit Singh said patients are often hesitant to get operated due to their health problems. He said they fear from the complications involved with old age and feel that results might not be significantly improvised as compared to regular patients.
“On the other hand, successfully implanted total knee arthroplasty (TKA) increases physical activity and therapeutic walks which help in curing the knee pain and possibility of moving and doing normal chores,” he said, adding, total knee replacement has significantly good effects on patient Beant Singh Grewal to live a healthy life after surgery.
