PHDCCI Jammu engages with executive council, deliberates on key issues

JAMMU, Mar 10: The PHDCCI Jammu Chapter under the chairmanship of Rahul Sahai convened a pivotal meeting with its executive council members, featuring prominent members dedicated to driving the economic development of the region.
Rahul Sahai (chairman, PHDCCI Jammu) presented an overview of the ongoing initiatives spearheaded by the Jammu Chapter, showcasing the organization’s commitment to fostering growth and development in the region.
The meeting delved into discussions about scheduled engagements with various Government delegates, focusing on issues such as high airfares and issues with housing and other departments. Rahul Sahai outlined plans to address high airfare prices, flight schedules and parking availability at Jammu Airport, particularly with the Civil Aviation Department.
The upcoming PackTech Asia event took centre stage as Rahul Sahai sought valuable input from the executive council members. The discussion revolved around maximizing industry participation and promoting the event through strategic collaborations with relevant departments and other agencies for promotion.
Shantnu Gupta (Convener PHDCCI), Anil Sharma (Co Chair PHDCCI) and Samar Dev Charak emphasized crucial points for inclusion in the Housing Department meeting agenda, touching upon freehold plots, master plans and commercial activities in Gandhi Nagar.
Raj Dua (co Chair PHDCCI) proposed addressing issues related to the possession of cancelled industrial areas and exploring alternative sites for industrial activities during the meeting with the Chief Secretary and Industry Secretary.
Various members raised key points, including issues related to CLU commercial land use on the highway, upcoming C-2 grading for Jammu Airport Run way, the new start-up policy, and an MoU with Dogra Educational Trust.
Anil Sharma advocated for increased awareness about incentives to existing industries, suggesting an extension of the deadline of new Industrial package. He also highlighted the necessity of extension of industrial package for tourism-based service industry.
Kuldeep Gupta emphasized the importance of lease date renewal for housing and JDA properties, advocating for a streamlined process through a single window for NOCs.
