REASI, Mar 11: To check illegal mining activities, the District Mining Department Reasi, in collaboration with the police department, conducted a day-long drive and seized three heavy excavators along with two dumpers, which were engaged in unauthorized extraction and transportation of Minor Minerals in Chinkah, Arnas, and Talwara areas of the District.
Two heavy excavators were confiscated in Chinkah and Arnas areas, where they were operated in block numbers 11 and 14, situated in the Chinkah area of Thakrakote tehsil. Additionally, one excavator and two dumpers were seized in the Talwara area, where they were being used in block number 26, located downstream of the Baradari Bridge in Talwara, and the Kons Khansa area of District Reasi.
