JAMMU, Mar 11: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) led by Dr Surinder Radotra (Association president) today met Principal Secretary Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department Shailender Kumar at Civil Secretariat, here and projected demands of the Association.
The delegation discussed threadbare the burning issues of the agricultural technocrats with Shailender Kumar and sought his intervention for redressal of all the grievances.
Earlier, a meeting of agriculture technocrats was organized under the banner of J&K Agriculture Technocrats Association at Exhibition Ground, Jammu. The meeting was presided by Dr Surinder Radotra. The issues discussed in the meeting include conduct of promotion of AEAs to JAEOs and regularize incharge JAEOs as confirmed JAEOs (both regions of J&K) with retrospective effect from April 2017 as per SRO 442.
The JKATA members also demanded include of 7, 8, 9 years of service into regular service with effect from April 2007 as J&K Government scrapped Old Pension Scheme on 1 January 2010, but agriculture technocrats joined Agriculture Department as Rehber – e – Ziraat on 1st April 2007 after State Cabinet approval.
While addressing the gathering, Dr Surinder Radotra said that on account of the fact that regularized AEAs were initially recruited in the year 2007 and completed 3 years of their service in the year 2010, they are entitled for grant of pension under the Old Pension Scheme in terms of provisions of amended SRO-400 dated 24-12-2009.
Dr Radotra requested that a publication of final seniority list at UT Level, as per Cabinet decision/regularized/date of confirmation as AEA in 2014, 2015, 2016, should be prepared and notified in a time bound manner for the purposes of promoting JAEOs to the post of AEOs. He asserted that AEAs (serving in the department) whose DPC is due from 2017 should be considered on priority basis for promotion as JAEOs and AEOs.
